Using borders adds a finished, customized look to a room. You can use borders to define spaces, add an accent or create detailing. Just let your imagination decide where to start.

1. All you need to measure is the linear footage. Allow a little extra for borders with matching patterns.

2. Create a plum line to guide you when applying the border to the wall.

3. When getting ready to apply the border: (Please refer to manufacturer's instructions for any special directions) 'Book' the border for about three minutes by folding one half to the middle of the strip, paste to paste, and the other half to middle, paste to paste, keeping the edges aligned. Gently roll up the wet, booked strip, being careful not to crease the strip. Booking allows the adhesive to activate and the border to relax and return to its original width. 

4. Fold the border accordion style for easy handling. Apply the border immediately to the wall - don't let it dry out!

5. Borders can be miter-cut or overlapped. To miter-cut, overlap the ends and cut at a 45-degree angle.
